SELINSGROVE, PA – With their last home meet of the indoor regular season, the women's track and field team utilized this last chance to up their marks before next Saturday's Landmark Championships. The team hosted many programs Friday night in its SU Tune Up, ending things off with one more shot int their events and new PRs to show for it.
Senior
Chloe Yoder started off the women's team in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.88, then in the finals 8.90 in first place. Sophomore
Denicia German ran a prelim mark of 9.86 and a PR of 9.60 for third place in the finals. In the 60 meters,
Addison Yaukey qualifieed with an 8.32, then finished off in third place with an 8.32. In the mile, sophomore
Sophia Bostwick ranked in fifth place with a PR of 5:36.48. Behind her in seventh place was first-year
Ava Warner with 5:50.66, a new PR. Right behind her in eighth place, senior
Sophia Pasquariello, ran a time of 5:52.57, while first-year
Sophia Alampiev PRs with a 6:30.21.
In the 800 meters, senior
Liza Levin and sophomore
Victoria Urbaez took first and second place, Levin a 2:24.32 and Urbaez with 2:25.56. Sophomore
Gabby Howe in ninth place ran a PR of 2:31.78. Yaukey returned to the track to finish in eighth place with a 28.00 in the 200 meters. First-year
Nakayah Tyler PR'd with a 28.91 along with first-year
Megan McDougall with a PR of 29.98. During the 3000 meters, sophomore
EmmaLia Ciccarello finished in third place at 11:56.76, while sophomore
Ayla Kerwan took eighth place running 12:17.68.
Vertical jumper and multi athlete
Charlotte Houle took fourth place in high jump clearing 1.48 meters. In the pits senior triple jumper
Hannah Alderfer jumps 10.76 meters for third place, while German took seventh place jumping 9.95 meters. In the pole vault, sophomore
Alison Sponseller vaulted a new PR of 3.00 meters to take third place, while junior
Katie Cammarata in ninth vaulted 2.40 meters.
During the weight throw, sophomore
Bella Dauberman threw 13.55 meters, good for fourth place. Sophomore
Abigail Haskell, in ninth place, threw 12.28 meters. Senior Sam Shafer PR'd at 11.61 meters along with sophomore
Emma Szabo, boasting 11.14 meters. Junior
Ainslee Binkley joined the PR club in the weight with a throw of 9.93 meters, as did first-year
Ava Lathers at 9.75 meters. In the day-ending shot put, sophomore
Keira Carbone threw 10.65 meters for fifth place and Binkley in eighth place throwing her PR of 10.27 meters. Shafer and Junior
Rebecca Cree each PR'd with a respective 9.53 meters and 9.42 meters. Houle threw a new PR of 9.20 meters, along with Lathers and her PR of 7.48 meters.
The River Hawks set their sails now to the Landmark Championships, set to run all day Saturday, Mar. 1 from Landover, Md.'s Prince George's Sprots Complex and Learning Complex.
