SELINSGROVE, PA - The Susquehanna University football team's 2025 schedule has landed, offering fans the chance to see last season's NCAA Division III Semifinalists six times at home and four on the road. Head coach
Tom Perkovich, entering his 11th season, looks to have his team fit to fly once again as they embark on a quest for a fourth consecutive conference title and third as members of the Landmark Conference.
This fall fields three new non-conference competitors and one new conference opponent as Susquehanna prepares to rekindle old rivalries from past conference eras, opening with Union at home for Ring of Honor Day Saturday, Sept. 6. Union was a familiar foe during SU's time in the Liberty League from 2007-09. This marks the start of the River Hawks' three-game homestand to start the year, with another matchup against Bridgewater set to kick off from Doug Arthur Stadium Saturday, Sept. 13 during Family Weekend. The following week is another old conference rival, this time Johns Hopkins from the team's time in the Centennial Conference from 2010-22 in a meeting of last year's national semifinalists Saturday, Sept. 20. The non-conference excursion wraps up with Susquehanna traveling to Newport News to take on Christopher Newport Saturday, Sept. 27 in both teams' first-ever meeting.
The River Hawks hold their bye week when the Landmark Conference season opens Saturday, Oct. 4, after which they will host Lycoming on Saturday, Oct. 11, followed by a visit to Juniata Saturday, Oct. 18 and back home against Catholic for Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 25. A new Landmark Conference foe emerges this fall with the arrival of Western Connecticut State as Susquehanna makes its first trek to Danbury, Conn. to face the Wolves Saturday, Nov. 1. SU hosts Wilkes to wrap its home season Saturday, Nov. 8, followed by a trip to Bethlehem to finish their regular season slate at Moravian Saturday, Nov. 15.
Susquehanna Football had one of the greatest seasons in program history in 2024, winning a record 12 games en route to their second straight Landmark Conference championship and the NCAA Division III Semifinals. Susquehanna won three NCAA playoff games, another program record, playing host to two of them on campus. Receiving a first-round bye, the River Hawks hosted Hobart in the Second Round, beating the Statesmen, 42-35. They then went off to Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minn., stunning the Johnnies on a walkoff field goal, 41-38. It was then back home where the River Hawks played host again to Bethel in the national quarterfinals, dethroning the Royals, 24-21, to earn their first national semifinals appearance since 1991 against eventual national champion North Central. At year's end Susquehanna had 20 All-Landmark selections and three major award winners in senior linebacker

Josh Ehrlich Offensive Player of the Year, and first-year running back/returner
Rahshan La Mons Rookie of the Year. The three were also tabbed D3football.com All-Region 2 alongside senior wide receiver/returner
Kyle Howes, senior left tackle
Nick Gonzalez, and junior defensive lineman
Brian Layton. Coach Perkovich and his staff earned the region's Coaching Staff of the Year. Nationally, Susquehanna ranked fourth in both the AFCA and D3football.com year-end polls. Ehrlich was a semifinalist for the John Gagliardi Trophy Presented by Stearns Bank and La Mons was voted D3football.com Third Team All-American.
