YORK, PA – The women's distance and mid-distance group traveled to York, PA to compete in the York Twilight Meet. The athletes competed strongly, setting new PRs before Champs roll around in May.
In the 400-meter race, senior
Liza Levin ran her season best of 1:02.32 in third place. Sophomore
Victoria Urbaez PR'd in fifth place with 1:04.16. In eighth place
Katie Wojton also PR'd with 1:05.62. Sophomore
Gabby Howe ran her first 400-meter and placed in eleventh with a 1:07.03. During the 800-meter, first-year
Sydney Querry ran her season best of 2:47.19.
In the 5000-meter, sophomore
Sophia Bostwick ran a new lifetime best with an 18:51.63, which placed her in second place. Senior
Rebekah Jones in fourth place, PRs with 19:06.27. First-year
Ava Warner also PRs in ninth place at 19:41.52. Senior
Jordan Bender PRs with 19:50.61. Sophomore
EmmaLia Ciccarello ran her PR of 19:54.21 while first-year
Julianna Sobocinski PR'd with 20:17.62. In the final 4x800 relay, Levin, Wojton, Howe and Urbaez ran a time of 9:56.91 in first place.
The team now travels to Bethlehem, Pa. this Friday for Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational.
