COLLEGEVILLE, PA - Susquehanna men's track and field ventured down to Ursinus College between Friday and Saturday for the Track and Field Festival.
Austin Hurrell offered the River Hawks a victory in the long jump when he cleared 6.87m, setting an AARTFC qualifying mark and the 36th-best mark in NCAA Division III this season.
Several PR's and season bests continued to pour in over the weekend when the rain didn't. Over in the distance category
Joseph LaBarbera set a new PR in the 3K Steeplechase with a time of 11:19.44, while in the 80 meters
Thomas McGann PR'd with a 2:07.33.
Jack Compton set a season best with a time of 2:09.15, while
Christian Calderaro ran a 2:20.77.
Cole Goodwin earned Susquehanna a top-ten placement in the shot put with a season-best mark of 13.32m, while finishing 15th in the discus at 36.42m.
Marcus Moyer also offered up a tenth-place finish in the high jump at 1.69m. Sophomore pole vaulter
Seth Taub placed 11th at 3.86m, sharing the same height with seven other competitors. He cleared it in his second try. In the triple jump senior
Ethan Roe jumped to 11.41m for 11th.
The River Hawks have another home assignment Thursday and Friday with the River Hawk Multi.
