Women's Basketball Ranked Third in Region, Still Receiving Votes by D3hoops.com

SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's basketball is ranked third in Region V in the latest NCAA.com Regional/NPI rankings After pushing their win streak to seven straight games, the women have seen their success pay off by jumping just behind Scranton and Johns Hopkins in the latest poll. The Rive, currently sitting with a 57.982 NPI ranking. The River Hawks' success spilled over to D3Hoops.com and the WBCA national rankings as well, where the team has been receiving votes since week 4 in the D3Hoops poll, while seeing votes in weeks 4-6 in the WBCA poll.

This season's national ranking votes are not by accident. as multiple River Hawks are leading the way, while all having career seasons. Julia Pinckert, Julia Roth, and Carly George are all leading the River Hawks in their final season in the orange and maroon to their most successful season since winning 18 games during the 2022-23 campaign. Pinckert who is climbing the career leader boards in assists, currently sitting in fourth all-time with 387, is leading the way for the River Hawks spectacular shooting campaign that they have shown throughout the 2025-26 season. Roth is also making her presence known once more, averaging 14.4 points per game, while averaging 9.6 rebounds per game, has certainly shown that her comeback from injury is a threat to the top competition that the River Hawks are facing. Carly George who recently surpassed 600 career rebounds, currently tied in ninth all-time with 603, is showing that her career at Susquehanna has been nothing short of spectacular. As many other players on the Susquehanna women's basketball team have shown career numbers this year, the River Hawks continue to put the Landmark Conference on notice, as they are the only team, outside of Scranton, to be receiving votes in either poll this late in the season.

Susquehanna looks to continue their historic season with four regular season games remaining, with two road dates and two home games to go. The River Hawks head to the nation's capital on February 11 to take on Catholic University, with #2 University of Scranton marked for February 14. The River Hawks then return home to take on Goucher College and Drew University on February 18 and February 21, respectively to round out the regular season.
