SELINSGROVE, PA - Both the Susquehanna men's and women's basketball teams will take their reservations for Thursday's Landmark Conference Semifinals games. The women, earning the two seed, a first-round bye, and hosting their first-ever Landmark Semifinals game, welcomes Elizabethtown to Houts Gymnasium Thursday night at 7 p.m. The sixth-seeded men, coming off a stunning 85-78 win Tuesday at three-seeded Scranton, now head to two-seeded Drew, also Thursday night at 7 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on FloCollege and paid admission to the games will be digital or card only. Only the River Hawks and Catholic are the only Landmark schools remaining to have both their men's and women's basketball teams still in contention for the Landmark championship.

A Susquehanna men's win will have them face off against the winner of the Catholic-Wilkes game in a 1-4 seed matchup. For the women, a win will see them play the winner of the Scranton-Catholic game, another 1-4 seed matchup.

Susquehanna women's basketball wrapped up their regular season posting 21 wins, the most since the 1991-92 season. Susquehanna played a very competitive schedule, defeating two nationally-ranked teams on their way to clinching the 2-seed in the Landmark Conference for the first time ever. Susquehanna opened their season with a dominant win over University of Mary Washington, before winning the annual tip-off tournament against nationally-ranked Gettysburg College. Susquehanna continued to dominate by defeating the Mules of Muhlenberg College 92-53 before their first Landmark Conference game of the season.

Juniata College was defeated next in the Orlando W. Houts Gymnasium. Susquehanna dropped a heart breaker to Elizabethtown College before defeating the Cougars of Misericordia University by 20 points in late November. The River Hawks rounded out the year with four straight wins against top opponents in the likes of Moravian University, Eastern University, Union College and Montclair State University, with the latter two coming in Puerto Rico. Susquehanna returned to PA and took out Lycoming College with a dominant 50 point win. The River Hawks met their match against #2 University of Scranton in The Palestra dropping the game before dropping yet another heart breaker to Catholic University.

Susquehanna bounced right back to the win column winning nine of their remaining ten games. SU handled Drew University, Goucher College and RV Elizabethtown College before downing Juniata College to complete the season sweep of the Eagles. Moravian University gave SU a good game in late January, but Susquehanna prevailed victorious completing the sweep over the Greyhounds. Susquehanna finished the season sweep against Wilkes University and Lycoming College, dominating in both games. The River Hawks stunned the Cardinals of Catholic University late in the season with a Sydney Weyant last second lay up to propel the River Hawks into the driver's seat for the two seed in the Landmark Conference. Despite suffering a loss at Scranton, the River Hawks wrapped up the regular season with back-to-back wins against Goucher College and Drew University, resulting in a three-way tie with Catholic University and Elizabethtown College for the opening round bye in the Landmark Conference playoffs. Susquehanna clinched the two-seed for the first time in history following a tie-breaker scenario where the team with the highest NPI earned the spot.

Susquehanna's men's basketball match up against Drew is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at Drew University's Baldwin Gymnasium. Susquehanna's women's basketball match up against Elizabethtown College is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at Susquehanna University's Orlando W. Houts Gymnasium.
