SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna University will face off against Wilkes University on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the Landmark Conference Men's Basketball title, hoping to punch their ticket to the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since the 2021-22 season where the team defeated Drew University for their most recent Landmark championship. The meeting between the River Hawks and Colonels will mark the first ever meeting between the two squads in the Landmark playoffs, while also marking the first time a six-seed has ever advanced this far in the tournament. Susquehanna looks to become the first team to win the Landmark title via three consecutive road tournament wins.

How We Got here:
  • Susquehanna clinched the six and final seed in the Landmark Conference playoffs following a tie-breaker scenario that pushed Susquehanna to the playoffs over Moravian. Susquehanna clinched a key victory late in the season against Catholic University, giving the River Hawks the right to advance to the tournament.
  • The River Hawks faced off against the three-seed University of Scranton in the first round, where SU stunned the Royals winning the game, 85-78. The Royals defeated the Susquehanna in both regular season meeting this year, giving them the right to host.
  • Susquehanna continued to put the Landmark Conference on notice early in the game against Drew University in the semifinals, where SU led the Rangers 21-8 early in the first half of play. Susquehanna shocked the defending Landmark Champions, defeating the Rangers 93-87 en route to their first Landmark Championship appearance since falling to Catholic in 2023-24. Like at  Scranton, the River Hawks avenged the Rangers after Drew took both regular season matchups.
  • On the other end of the bracket, Wilkes University defeated Elizabethtown in the opening round on Tuesday, then upset one-seeded Catholic on Thursday to face off against Susquehanna in their first ever Landmark Tournament meeting.
