SELINSGROVE, PA — Susquehanna University women's soccer junior Amelia Kopp has been named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this fall, the conference announced Monday.

Kopp played a pivotal role in the River Hawks' unbeaten week, directly contributing to both of Susquehanna's goals across a 1-0-1 stretch against Stevenson and defending Landmark Conference champion Scranton.

Kopp opened the week with an assist in Susquehanna's 1-0 victory at Stevenson on Sept. 23. With the River Hawks earning a corner kick just 1:59 into the match, Kopp delivered a precise service into the box that Liv Baczor headed into the net for the game's lone goal. Kopp's assist marked her first of the season and helped Susquehanna secure its seventh victory of the year. The River Hawks finished with an 11-6 advantage in shots and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.

Kopp followed with a game-tying goal in Saturday's Landmark Conference opener at Scranton. After the Royals took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, Kopp helped spark the River Hawks' second-half response, scoring in the 59th minute on a corner kick from the right side. Her left-footed service found its way into the net to even the match at 1-1. Kopp finished the contest with a team-high four shots, including two on goal.

Over the two-match week, Kopp totaled one goal, one assist, five shots and three shots on goal, directly accounting for both Susquehanna goals. Her performance helped the River Hawks extend their unbeaten streak to four matches while opening Landmark play with a point against the defending conference champion.

The weekly honor marks Kopp's second recognition from the Landmark Conference this season following a week in which she provided a consistent offensive spark from the corner-kick service and attacking third. She becomes one of two Susquehanna women's soccer players recognized by the conference this season, joining goalkeeper Katie Henchy.

Susquehanna, which enters the week at 7-1-1 overall, returns home Wednesday, Sept. 30, hosting Dickinson at 5 p.m. at Sassafras Multipurpose Field.
