Susquehanna University Athletics

SUCCESS: After transferring from Drexel to Susquehanna in 1974, Joe became the starting middle linebacker and was elected captain of the 1975 football team. He led the team in tackles and was selected to the All-Lutheran team, among other accolades.

SERVICE: Joe graduated from Susquehanna in 1977 with a degree in business management. Professional and civic leadership included serving as president of the World Trade Association of Philadelphia from 1996-1998 and President of the Traffic Club of Philadelphia in 2006. He has been active in the Knights of Columbus, Cherry Hill Chapter 6173, since 1999. He currently serves as senior vice president of business development at Inland Express, Inc.

SPIRIT: Joe participates in SU football golf outings and stays engaged with fellow alumni and student-athletes through his professional experiences.

ADVOCACY: When Joe transferred to SU in 1974, student transitions lacked the structured support that exists today. Despite the challenges, SU proved to be the ideal place for Joe to thrive, both athletically and academically. Joe and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 43 years and have three children. They reside in Cherry Hill, NJ.
