Currently, CoSIDA sponsors Academic All-America® programs for men's soccer, women's soccer, football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball and men's and women's track and field/cross country. Many other sports are eligible through the
At-Large program.
The 2011-12 school year marked the first year that the Academic All-America® program expanded to four divisional teams. Student-athletes were honored in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, while a fourth team — the College Division — was comprised of NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions. This expansion enabled CoSIDA to double the number of student-athletes honored on an annual basis.
