ROCHESTER, NY (January 28, 2023) -- The Susquehanna University women's track and field squad competed at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup Saturday afternoon, earning 33 points to pick up ninth place.
Sophomore
Kelly Loughlin finished the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.40 seconds, while classmate
Addison Yaukey was sixth after running an 8.44.
Alexa Rine ran a 8.02 in the 60 meter dash invite section prelims, running a 8.06 in the finals for fifth.
Sophomore Alyana Krempa was 10th in the 200 meter dash in 27.19, a season-best time and fourth-best time in the Landmark Conference this year, while
Liza Levin ran a season-best time of 2:27.56 in the 800 meters for the sixth-best time in the conference in 2022-23.
Senior
Kallan Carter was sixth in the 5000 meter invitational section, running a 18:51.33, the Landmark Conference's fourth-fastest time this year.
Chloe Yoder ran another school record time in the 60 meter finals, besting her previous time by 0.01 seconds with an 8.98 to take fourth overall.
The River Hawks won the 4x200 meter relay, running a 1:49.00 thanks to the efforts of
Ashley Newman,
Addison Yaukey,
Alexa Rine and
Alayna Krempa.
Remi Acord was fifth in the triple jump, establishing a mark of 10.91 meters for fifth place.
Maggie Boyer was seventh in the shot put with a mark of 11.06 meters, while
Paulina Biagioni posted the league's 18th best mark this year with a toss of 9.46 meters. Senior
Brooke Leitzel also cleared a height of 2.90 meters in the pole vault, a season-best mark and second-best height in the conference this season.
The River Hawks will head to the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College February 4-5.
