SELINSGROVE, PA (February 19, 2023) -- Junior thrower
Maggie Boyer broke the school record in the weight throw, while setting a new personal record in the shot put to highlight action at the SU Tune Up, hosted by Susquehanna University in James Garrett Field House.
Boyer finished third in the weight throw with a new school record mark of 15.09 meters, coming on her second of three throws on the day. In the shot put, Boyer would post a new PR while taking second place with a heave of 12.35 meters.
Chloe Yoder continued her standout season by winning the 60 hurdles, running an 8.93 seconds in the preliminaries. In the finals, Yoder tied her personal best and school record time to take the victory with an 8.89.
In the long jump,
Remi Acord posted a victory with another AARTFC qualifying mark of 5.32 meters. The recorded jump came on her sixth and final attempt, eclipsing her previous day's best of 5.30 meters.
In the 400 meters, sophomore
Liza Levin ran a 1:02.17 to finish third overall while sophomore
Kelly Loughlin finished fifth in the 200 meter dash with a 28.21. Loughlin also recorded a new PR in the 60 meter dash with an 8.24, finishing fifth int he event.
Junior
Emma Myers was seventh in the mile after running a 5:34.10, and
Sarah Bower earned sixth place in the pole vault after clearing a height of 2.90 meters.
The River Hawks will now turn their attention to the Landmark Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted next Saturday, February 25 in Selinsgrove.
