CHESTER, PA (April 1, 2023) – Susquehanna women's track & field's second outdoor meet of the season this weekend at Widener University's Danny Curan Invitational produced great marks all around, generating new school records, AARTFC qualifications and personal bests.
The 4x100 team of
Hannah Alderfer,
Alexa Rine,
Alayna Krempa and
Chloe Yoder broke the school record to win the event with a time of 48.34 for an AARTFC qualifying mark. Yoder went on to set AARTFC qualifiers in two more events, setting a PR in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.82, which stands second all-time in school history, and the 400-meter hurdles at 1:06.76, which stands seventh all-time. Alderfer set another regional qualifier in the long jump with a mark of 5.42m, while
Kallan Carter set her own course for AARTFC's with her second-place time of 4:44.93, less than one second off her PR.
Alderfer posted a 15.7 time in the 100-meter hurdles, which stands as the fifth-best time in school history.
Grace Farrer PR'd in the 400 with a time of 1:09.03, while the 800 group of
Liza Levin (2:24.63),
Jordan Bender (2:34.19),
Sophia Pasquariello (2:36.75),
Rebekah Jones (2:39.38), and
Sydney Mitros (2:46.56) all set new personal bests.
Alayna Krempa posted a new PR in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:11.46, while
Kelly Loughlin and
Caitlyn Kuhn earned personal bests in the 200 meters at 28.00 and 28.66, respectively.
Delaynee McLeod set a personal standard in the javelin on her opening throw at 34.77m for fourth place, while Ainslee Binley finished right behind her in fifth at 34.01.
Susquehanna will host their own Multi and Invite this week, starting with the two-day multi Thursday and Friday and the invitational Saturday.
