Women's Basketball Receives Votes in Latest D3Hoops.com Poll

SELINSGROVE, PA - For the first time since the 2000-01 women's basketball season, Susquehanna has received votes in the latest D3Hoops.com poll. The River Hawks currently sit at 7-1 on the season with a tough three game stretch this week. The River Hawks under the supervision of head coach Gabby Holko have the best start to a season.

Susquehanna has been dominant on both sides of the ball, massing double digit wins in all seven games. Susquehanna started the season out strong, defeating Mary Washington and nationally ranked Gettysburg College to reclaim the annual tip-off tournament trophy. The River Hawks kept their momentum going by defeating the Mules of Muhlenberg College by nearly 40 points, advancing their season to 3-0. The River Hawks saw their first Landmark Conference game coming against Juniata College, defeating the Eagles 80-43. Susquehanna fell to Elizabethtown College, while the Blue Jays were ranked #14 in the D3 Hoops poll, Susquehanna barely fell 56-59. Since the loss to the Blue Jays, the River Hawks picked right back up with a 20 point win against Misericordia University, before defeating the Colonels of Wilkes University. Susquehanna's final home game before the winter break came against Moravian University, where SU defeated the Greyhounds 77-60 to advance to 7-1 on the season.

SU faces off against Eastern University on December 16, before heading to Puerto Rico to face off against two squads who both saw a national ranking earlier this season. December 18 marks the River Hawks take on Union College, with Montclair State University slated for December 19. Susquehanna looks to continue their momentum and advance to 10-1 on the season following their three game road trip to end 2025.
