A four-year letter winner, Witt was named Blair Heaton Award winner as a senior as a outstanding scholar-athlete. As halfback he was All-American, All-MAC and Team MVP and team MVP as a senior. Holds SU  career records for all-purpose ydg (4,062), scoring (180) and kickoff returns (53 for 1,336 yds.) Holds game record for receiving with 216 yds. vs. Lycoming in '88. He remains 2nd all-time in career (1,527) and season (691) receiving yardage.
