Steve holds four prominent all-time SU wrestling records: most wins (27, '83) tech. falls in a season (5, '85), career tech falls (8) and team points for a season (93, '84). He also had 133 career takedowns and 72 takedowns in one season, both records. He was MAC champion at 190 in both '85 and '86, placing 3rd at NCAA's, losing 3-2 to the national champion, and earning All-American. He earned a 65-5-1 career record.
