Split end Sochovka was a four-year member of the SU Football team and played on two MAC Championship squads (1983,1986). His senior season, the Crusaders went 11-1 and reached the Qualifiers of the NCAA Playoffs during his time at SU. Sochovka broke the All-Time reception yardage record and today remains eighth in program history in that category. He received All-MAC Honors his junior and senior seasons and over his career amassed 1,518 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns and 78 receptions.
