Upon Dana Makowski's arrival in Selinsgrove the women's lacrosse program was still in its infancy. Upon her taking the field that all changed. She was a four-time All-MAC selection, including a two-time First Team honoree in 1998 and 2000, along with a Second Team nod in 1999. Her 63 career assists ranks third all-time, while her 162 career points stands ninth all-time. Her 25 assists in 2000 remained a school record for 15 years. She helped the program reach its apex during these early years with three straight second-place finishes in the MAC from 1998 to 2000, including MAC Finals appearances in 1998 and 1999.
