A two-sport star in football and baseball. John was best known for his aggressive two-way play on the Grid-Iron. The first player ever to lead the MAC North two-consecutive years as the leading ground gainer. He was a defensive stalwart also, splitting two helmets with booming tackles as a junior. John was captain and third basemen in baseball. Again displaying his aggressive style. His leadership gained him the captaining in both sports.
