An outstanding guard under the famous A.A. Stagg senior and junior. Pittello later served 25 years as an Assistant Football Coach at S.U. under Head Coach A.A. Stagg Jr.. "Whitey" Kell, Jim Garrett, and Jim Hazlett. He helped guide S.U. to two undefeated seasons and three MAC Northern Division Championships.
