Filipovits was a three-year starter at quarterback and led Susquehanna to the NCAA Division III semifinals as a junior. Following his senior season, he was named First Team All-MAC after completing 98 passes for 1,548 yards and 14 touchdowns. At the time of his induction, Filipovits still ranked among the top 10 in program history in career passing yards (2,569) and touchdowns (24).
