A four-year letter winner in field hockey, Flaherty is the career scoring leader as of 1993 with 27 goals and two assists for 56 points. As a junior and senior, she led the team in scoring and to 9-3 and 8-4 seasons including a MAC playoff win over F & M. Jean was team captain as a senior.
