Coach Bill Moll is credited with re-building SU's football fortunes in the mid-eighties. Following seven straight losing seasons. Moll took over a program and garnered an overall record of 32-30-1 in his seven year run. The last four being winning seasons. He was named MAC Coach of the Year in both 1982 and 1983. Moll's griddles won the MAC Title in 1983 while posting and 8-0-1 record.
