A four-year starter at end for football and a four-year starting pitcher, Badger was known as one of the very best athletes on campus. Like many others at the time, he worked at the SelinsgroveCenter through college, but he stayed on as a 40-year employee. He won nine games in a row in the West Branch League and has bowled a "300" game. He was invited for a tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles as a senior captain.
