Susquehanna University Athletics

Grossman was largely responsible for the development of athletic facilities at SU. He coached track and field and cross country from 1921-25. Athletic director from 1927-35, he expanded the curriculum in physical education and health. His emphasis on amateurism and participatory sports for all students was termed a "Crusade," providing the nickname for SU teams.
