Quarterback of Garrett's undefeated teams in 1961 and 1962, Green left SU as the third top rusher with 1,681 yards. He received All-MAC honors, All-Pennsylvania honors, and Honorable Mention on Little All-America teams. In 1964, he was a fifth-round draft choice of the Oakland Raiders (AFL) and a 17th round selection of the Baltimore Colts (NFL).
