As a football place-kicker Frank was All-MAC in 1982 and holds the All-Time SU record for the two longest field goals of 49 and 51 yards. His 51 yarder beat Lycoming 6-3 with no time left on the clock. As a senior he kicked 21 of 22 extra points and 10 of 13 FG's. Also a standout in baseball at first base. He lettered for three years and was named best defensive player in 1982.
