Scheikert was the only coach in Susquehanna's Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving History until his death on June 15, 2008. After succumbing to cancer. He was a middle Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year in 2000, 2005, and 2007, and during the 2007-08 Mens season. He led the Crusaders to an 11-0 record dual meets.
