Leading the Stagg Coached Wide-Open Passing Game. Revolutionary at the time. Bob set SU records for passing yards (2229) and completions (194) from 1947-49. While earning fourth place in the nation in 1947 in passes completed. He tossed a TD pass with 10 seconds to go to tie Allegheny in the show in 1947.
