Athletics Hall of Fame
A member of the baseball team for three seasons before being drafted. Farley finished as one of the best pitchers in school history. He ranks #2 in strikeouts (157) and career ERA (2.37). He was drafted in the 14th round of the June Amateur Draft by the Chicago White Sox and played parts of five seasons in the minor leagues and independent league advancing as high as the AA level with the Birmingham Barons. His best season was in 1997 when he led the Hickory Crawdads with a 14-6 record and 94 strikeouts. The 14 wins in a season is still a Crawdads team record.
