The two-time All-American for the Susquehanna men’s golf team, Mercer also won the Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament by an amazing 17 strokes as a senior. After the conference title, he went to the NCAA Tournament and fired the top round of the tournament with a 66. During his final two seasons at Susquehanna, he placed either first or second in 16 of the 19 tournaments played, including a streak of six consecutive matches as the medalist.
