A four-year starter at middle-linebacker, Fessler led the team in tackles for 3 straight years. Team captain as a senior, Bob was named First Team All-MAC and the squad's MVP. He was selected All-ECAC weekly player for his performance against Delaware Valley in which he recorded 25 tackles, 10 of which were solos. His aggressive style earned him several defensive awards including Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
