A two-sport captain in volleyball and track as a senior. Mary also won the AWS award as the outstanding senior female student-athlete chosen as All MAC NW player in VB in 1984 she led new team to first winning record (23-11). She led an eight women team to 3rd place in the MAC Championships in 1985 winning the long jump. Placing 2nd in the 100m and 400m hurdles and as anchor in the 400m and 1600m relay placing 2nd and 3rd.
