Hogan spent four years as a pitcher on the softball squad. She finished her career with 10 shutouts, an ERA of 2.03, three seasons of 100 or more strikeouts and went 44-23 overall. She also had four saves and 53 complete games. Hogan was named a three-time All-MAC All-Star, including two First Team selections. During her sophomore season, the Crusaders qualified for the MAC Championships, the same season in which she went 14-6 and boasted a career-low era of 2.01. As a senior, she finished with a 12-4 record and a 2.25 era and was named First Team All-MAC.
