A four-year letter winner in football and track, Erdman owned the SU career rushing record and single season rushing record. Also a fine defensive player, Erdman earned a spot on the All-Lutheran college defensive team. On the cinders Erdman was equally impressive as he owned the Susquehanna marks in the 100 and 220-yard dashes.
