A quick point guard, Kay scored 1,004 points in her career while dishing out 301 assists to rank her 5th all-time. Recovering from a serious knee injury, Kay became the first player under coach Mark Hribar to crack the 1000-point barrier. She also holds the single game free throw record making 15 for 15 vs. Kings in 1986. Selected a MAC Northwest All-Star as a junior, she led her teams to a four-year record of 62-29 and two selections to the NCAA tournament. Kay also served two years as an assistant coach under Hribar, notching a lone victory over Moravian when Hribar was absent due to illness. She also lettered one year as softball shortstop.
