Melissa Karschner '04 was the first Susquehanna women's soccer goalkeeper to be named First Team All-Conference when she was chosen to the First Team All-MAC Commonwealth in 2002. She set program records with 477 career saves and 14 career shutouts, while allowing just 104 goals during her run as Susquehanna's keeper. Her five shutout wins her junior year was a school record as it helped Susquehanna to its first-ever playoff appearance in 2002 towards the MAC Commonwealth Finals. She also had a pair of four shutout victories in 2000 and 2001, helping the young program to its first ten-win season as a sophomore.
