Liz was a four year letter winner in both basketball and track. She earned All-American Honors throwing the javelin with throw of 143 ft. 6 in. still a school record in 2002, also in 1993 she earned the track team's MVP Award winning the shot put while placing 3rd in the javelin and discus at MAC in basketball she was a key reserve and spot-starter for a team that won three MAC NW Titles and two berths in the NCAA Tournament.
